Sketch and standup funnyman Enis Esmer and musical director Neil Brathwaite host this groundbreaking primetime series.
Host Enis Esmer is a man of many talents, having appeared in the films How To Deal, Welcome to Mooseport and in the upcoming Decoys. With Second City training under his belt, Esmer has appeared as part of the sketch comedy troupe Mustered and Relished in Elvira Kurt’s Adventures in Comedy (Comedy Network). Esmer is a member of The Mideast Optimists, a Muslim and Jewish comedy collective that was featured in the New York Times. Most recently, he has produced and hosted the live comedy show Turkish Delights, has fronted the sketch troupe/band Calcu-Lator & The Oral Presentation and written for the online humour webzine somethingspace.com.
Musical Director Neil Brathwaite is a gifted musician as well as a talented composer and collaborator. His film and television credits include the Oscar-winning movie Chicago, Angel Eyes, as well as the Juno, Gemini, Genie and Harry Jerome awards. As co-founder/musical director of the Annual Urban Showcase Bump N’ Hustle, Brathwaite has worked with most of the hot young recording artists in the community – Choclair, Socrates, Jully Black, Glenn Lewis and Deborah Cox, to name but a few. Talented sax player Brathwaite will be releasing his new CD this fall entitled Bee Thankful.
